Fatigue Damage Map of AZ31B-F Magnesium Alloys under Multiaxial Loading Conditions

In this work, the mechanical behavior of AZ31B-F magnesium alloy under cyclic loading is analyzed with goal contributing to advancement its use in design components and structures. To achieve goal, an experimental program was implemented evaluate response specific proportional loads different stress amplitude ratios. Afterwards, regression methods were applied extend data a wide range loads. As result, damage map, material property that stablishes scale between normal shear stresses for finite life regimes, obtained. addition, safety factor developed when subjected loading. The achieved results have direct application components/structures made reliability.
